Wisconsin Motorsports
announced an addition of a new divisional series to its 2005-Racing Season
lineup.
The
X-treme
Dirt Devils will be in addition to the regular Dirt Devil division. The car
construction and rules are identical for both classes, with an identifying
distinction between the two being an neon colored “X”
addition and prelude to all the car numbers of the participating drivers.
The driver difference in
the X-treme’s
allows drivers of all experience
levels to participate. All participants in the regular Dirt Devil division must
be qualified novices, without any experience in any other divisions.
This addition will allow
many retired racers or current drivers wishing to down class, to join what is
proving to be one of the most exciting types of racing divisions. Separate
A-Mains will be run for both classes.
In addition, a point
formula has been devised to decide when a driver will be reclassified as an
X-treme
Dirt Devil and it will be based on a 100 point system. The competition staff
will be reviewing the status of all current competitors that fall within the
perimeters of this addition and reclassify them accordingly as an
X-treme
Dirt Devil.
X-treme
Dirt Devils will also have a partner/promoter for the 2005-Racing season, and
will earn points per race and participate in a contingency program at the
2005-Celebration of Champions at the end of the season.
Any driver earning a
point championship earns 50 points. Second is 40, third is 30, fourth 20 and
fifth, 10. After accruing 100 points drivers will automatically be reclassified
as an X-treme
Dirt Devil.
This also provides
drivers of similar skill levels, the opportunity of participating and racing
together along with a more exciting racing venue.

Dirt Devils contact the corporate office at Wisconsin Motorsports in Beaver Dam
