Excitement is at an all-time high at The Raceway at Powercom Park
in Beaver Dam, WI as the weekly divisions season opener is set for
Saturday May 14. Racing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Last season’s programs produced record car counts and the numbers
are looking good for this season as well with already a large number
of cars registered. Many of the teams took advantage of the two
inspection/practice days held on April 16 and 23. With the stage set
for another very competitive season, drivers and crews are hoping
that the opportunity to get their cars inspected early and also take
in some track time on the fast high-banked 1/3 mile clay oval will
give them an edge that will pay off on opening day. With every point
important in the season long point chase, it is no secret that a
quick start and consistency throughout the season will put you in
the thick of the battle at the end of the season.
On the program for the season opening event will be the Shaver
Builders and Home Improvement Modifieds, the Dodge Central Credit
Union Stocks, the Gibbsville Cheese Wisconsin Legends Dirt Racing
Series, the Northwoods Paper Converting Grand Nationals and the
Wally’s Auto Dirt Devils. R.E.E.L. Cleaning Solutions will sponsor
the X-Treme Dirt Devils.
The first appearance of the season for the Johnsonville Sausage
Wisconsin Dirt Late Models Association will be on Saturday May 21.
The late models will be on hand for nine programs this season.
Special Twi-Light programs are scheduled for Memorial Day and
Labor Day featuring the W.D.L.M.A. late models, modifieds and
mini-sprints. The Triple Crown program for sprints, midgets and
mini-sprints will take place on Saturday July 16. The Clash on the
Clay Dirt Devil Invitational is scheduled for September 17.
The World of Outlaw Sprints return for two programs again this
season. The first event is scheduled for Wednesday July 6. The
second program will take place on Saturday September 24.
In addition to full programs of racing there will be many in
crowd activities and promotions that will involve the fans. For more
