- Tim Montonati #86 Street Stock driver passed away Saturday February
18, 2006 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
The 32 year old
single driver from Greenville, was also employed as a fabricator. Tim
raced at many state dirt tracks for the past 13 years, finished an
impressive 6th place at the Park and 20th at the
Zone in 2005. Tim was anxiously anticipating the start of the
2006-Racing Season and had already registered his #86 Street Stock for
the season at Powercom Park, Beaver Dam.
Tim registered for
the 2006 season and listed the following sponsors to include Music Man
Entertainment, Jim Reinhardt Motorworks, Madell’s Lanes and WI Gibs
Guide Services.
Tim’s energetic
and competitive nature was always respectful and his participation will
be sadly missed by all who knew him.
In respect for Tim
and his love of racing, the Raceway at Powercom Park, Beaver Dam will
honor Tim’s number #86 for the 2006-Racing season at the Park.
The Raceway at
Powercom Park will also honor and remember Tim and the number #86 at the
Season opener at the beginning of May. The 2006 Dodge Central
Credit Union Street Stock division will also honor Tim Montonati, for
the 2006-Tim Montonati Sportsmanship Award to be awarded at the end of
the 2006-Racing Season.
All drivers
participating for this award in this division for the 2006 season will
be asked to display the #86 for the duration of the season.
The Raceway at
Powercom Park in Beaver Dam, its employees, drivers, family and friends
extend their heartfelt sympathy to Tim’s family and friends.
