at the Park
The Raceway at Powercom
Park, Beaver Dam. Due to the impending and inclement weather
the season opener at the
Raceway at Powercom Park has been cancelled.
Join us next week on
Saturday May 20th for the Miller Lite Season Opener at the Park.
Pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m. for pre-race inspection, general
gates will open at 4:30 p.m. Racing
gets underway at 6:30 with
a special tribute to Tim Montonati.
Saturday May 27th will be
the "Legends of Racing" and fan appreciation night at the races.
Vintage cars from past racing years will be displayed starting at
2:00 p.m. in the afternoon, along with local drivers and cars for a
meet and greet at the Park. Cars, Drivers, fans and friends will be
topside in the area that was used for display last year. All
drivers, fans and crew members should be displayed in the designated
area by 2:00 p.m. Setup time begins at 1:00 and the meet and greet
ends at 4:00 p.m.
Legends of Racing Drivers
include Gene Erdmann, Homer Ansel, Norm Giese, Brian Jaeger, Ken
Markwardt, Mike Melius, Miles Melius, Dick Colburn, Jerry O'Day,
Aaron Solsrud, Hermie Stern, Kenny Tlougan's wife Arlene and several
others.
Join us for a reflection of
racing from the past, and experience the legends of tomorrow. Bring
your favorite pictures of driver's from the past and have the
autographed. Special trophies will be given to all A-Main drivers
along with several other surprises for drivers and fans.
