Legendary starter/flagman Jim Barr injured flagging IRA "B" Main
IRA starter/flagman Jim Barr, while flagging Saturday night for the IRA, took a huge rock to his left forearm. But being the professional that he is, he finished that race before going to the hospital. It was discovered to be broken (shattered). Even though his wrist is shattered he will not need surgery because all bones are in their proper place. He is still in a lot of pain, but he's a tough one and will be fine. He does want to thank everyone for all of their thoughts. He really appreciates it.We all wish Jim a speedy recovery.
Please always remember to thank your flagman and all officials for the great and dangerous jobs they do, week in and week out, for the love of our sport!
