Report from Hoosier Tire Rep Shannon Rush.... Click Here for details!!
I just wanted to give you an update on the progress of the new Grand National RC4. We were able to complete our test in Alabama on January 5th and we have selected the finished compound for the new Grand National RC4. We are creating the new specs for the tires and they should go into production during the week of February 5th. Here are the new tire designations and part numbers: 36182 – 26.5/8.0-15 SCL RC4 – target chalk mark will be 85 ½ and we should see tires in the 85-86 range available 36192 – 27.5/8.0-15 SCL RC4 – target chalk mark will be 88 ¼ and we should see tires in the 87 ¾-88 ¾ range available They will have the same sidewall as the old RC4 but will feature the larger chain link design like we had at the meeting. The new compound may be slightly harder than the old RC4, but it should have comparable grip and wear. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this transition and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. If you have questions on the GN tires for Beaver Dam Raceway, please direct them to Competition Director @ Jerry Priesgen 920-382-4515.
