The Sport Mod is an open wheel division. They utilize a chassis that is similar to the modified division. They have some restrictions in rear suspension. This class also uses a restricted or "crate" engine to reduce costs. Similar cars are raced at numerous tracks throughout the Midwest and are growing in popularity. They provide an exciting form of racing at a budget more racers can afford. It is because of this that this class is one of the fastest growing divisions at Beaver Dam. You can find a variety of drivers in this division from the seasoned veteran to the rookie learning the intricacies of open wheel racing. Checkered Flags are hard to come by in this ultra competitive division.
