Harry Neitzel Tribute Shifted to August 30th at Beaver Dam Raceway for Historic Event
Our Aug 30th date at Beaver Dam Raceway just got bigger! This race will be very meaningful as it's not only the Jim Wipperfurth Memorial, it's now the Harry Neitzel Tribute too! This event will be an historic one, more information will follow in the coming days!
Wipperfurth and Neitzel were major supporters of sprint car racing in the area. When Beaver Dam Raceway re-opened in 1993, the IRA was the first sprint car series to compete there, and MSA was founded there a few years later. Wipperfurth and Neitzel were instrumental in growing sprint car racing at Beaver Dam, and Beaver Dam Raceway has played a major role in getting both IRA & MSA where they are today. Having the two groups combine at Beaver Dam Raceway, and honoring these two men at the same time, makes this event truly special.
The Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints, MSA Sprints, and IRA Lightning Sprints combine at Beaver Dam Raceway, honoring Jim Wipperfurth and Harry Neitzel who were instrumental in the growth of sprint car racing in the Beaver Dam area. Saturday night Aug 30th. Be a part of history!
Labor Day weekend is BIG ONE for Wisconsin sprint car racing as for IRA it's a tripleheader of events, kicking off Friday Aug 29th as both IRA and MSA compete during the Sheboygan County Fair at the Plymouth Dirt Track (also a Hopf Farms Bullring Showdown event for IRA), Saturday Aug 30th is the Jim Wipperfurth Memorial / Harry Neitzel Tribute at Beaver Dam Raceway, and then on Sunday Aug 31 IRA is joined by the AutoMeter WI wingLESS Sprints at the The Hill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay.
